Description of Issue

I am running Roon core on a Windows desktop. The Roon app on that same machine can’t connect to the core. It detects the core but does not connect. It just stays on the screen shown.

Roon on my iPhone, iPad, and Windows 11 laptop don’t have any problem connecting to the core.

Can you please check if all the necessary firewall exceptions for the various components of Roon on your machine are still in place?

Are you running two different Roon programs on the same computer? Why?

I haven’t made any changes since it was working fine. If it did need firewall permissions, I would get a notification. Also, other remotes on the same network have no problem.

Windows update may have though – also the recent update from Roon 1.8 to Roon 2.0 may have introduced changes. Please check.

Because I want the core running even when Roon isn’t open on the desktop.

I reinstalled Roon. It works now.
