Can't control volume from Roon app on Rose RS520 (ref#OO6TK4)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· I'm using a Rose RS520. I can play music fromn roon, but I can't contol the volumen from the app. What do i have to to so that it will work?

To help clarify this, could you please check and let us know which Volume Control Mode is currently selected for your Rose RS520?

You can find this here:
Settings → Audio → Rose RS520 → Volume Control Mode

Roon supports different volume control modes (Device Volume, DSP Volume, Fixed Volume), and the ability to control volume from the Roon app depends on which mode is active.

Thanks for the info! First, let’s confirm:

On the RS520 itself:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Open Audio
  3. Find Volume / Output Level
  4. Make sure it is set to: Variable
Then, double-check you have the RS set to Device volume like you do above:

In Roon:

  1. Go to Settings → Audio
  2. Find your Rose RS520 under Roon Ready devices
  3. Click the gear icon ⚙ next to it
  4. Select Device Setup
  5. Set Volume Control Mode to: Device Volume
