· I installed Roon on my NAS (UGREEN) as a Docker container and have multiple clients (Mac and PC). Only subscribed yesterday. I would like Roon (client) to filter by the folder on my \media\music folder. For example: I have \media\music\podcasts and \media\music\digital and \media\music\cds. I know I can click Folders in the GUI but I want to filter everything (Home, Genres, Listen Later) etc. by my folders. Is this possible? Thanks in advance .... Lee
Roon can’t focus on subfolders but it can focus on location. A watched folder is considered a location.
This strategy may work provided you don’t have too many subfolders you wish to differentiate.
Remove the top level \media\music\ as a watched folder.
Create new watched folders pointing to each subfolder “location” you wish to be able to focus on e.g.:
\media\music\podcasts
\media\music\digital
\media\music\cds
Alternatively (which is more akin to Roon’s philosophy of being folder agnostic) is use a tag editor: batch tag all the music files on each subfolder with a unique tag that represents the folders purpose. Then you can focus on the tag.

As @Carl has mentioned above (thank you Carl!) what you’re asking for is not something Roon supports natively at the library level. Roon treats watched folders as locations for import, but it does not use subfolders like podcasts, digital, and cds as a browse or filter dimension across Home, Genres, or Listen Later.
The practical options are the ones Carl outlined: either add each subfolder as its own watched folder, or use tags to mark the files by category and then browse or focus on those tags inside Roon. If you want, we can help you think through the cleanest setup for a library that mixes podcasts and music.
If you try the tag approach and want a second opinion on the structure, send us a little more detail about how those folders are organized and we can suggest the best way to map them in Roon.
