Description of Issue

Since latest update for Roon Core running on a Mac
I started having problems: Roon is unable to find core:

After wating forever without it finding the core, I click on “Use this Mac”
Next on “Log in”, I log in and then I get the message that I’m already logged in with a core
and can’t be logged in on two at the same time…
So somehow Roon won’t detect the core that’s already running in the background, it appears.
This is getting frustrating… Any ideas out there?

I’m reluctant to unauthorize my old core, and set up a new one. But I do have back ups of the old core library.

Thanks!
Simon

Update:

I just clicked on the bottom “restore from backup”, picked the most recent, backup was successfully restored, then asked me to relaunch. Now I get this, Roon thinking I don’t have a valid subscription. Renewed my annual a few months ago…

Update 6-21-22:

In the next to last screen shot, where it says on the bottom:

Your devices
Simons-Macbook-Pro. Unathorize

I decided to click on “unauthorize” since it said “Logging out will not affect any data on your Core”
I think this is what happened: I basically removed the old profile and set up a new, but using the the old back up I restored earlier as a template.
Boom - Everything was back to normal. Happy camper now. I’ll leave this up here in case it might help someone.
