Can't find smb path with bullets in filename

Using Roon on OSX 10.11.1.

On my NAS, I have a folder called “• DSD” (that’s a MacOS bullet character, option-8). If I try to provide a file path as “smb://pathtofile/• DSD” Roon says it can’t find the network folder. That same path works fine in the “Connect To Server” dialog in Finder. If I point at the parent folder, it scans it just fine.

Hi Mike,

I understand that Roon adopts a conservative approach to file naming, meaning it ignores anything that is reserved, prohibited, deprecated or unsupported in any supported OS (Windows, OSX or Linux). I believe that is because interoperability of a Roon library between all supported OS is given a higher priority than naming flexibility within a particular OS.
