Can't install RoonBridge on Raspberry Pi OS Lite

Description of Issue

I can’t install Roon Bridge on my Raspberry Pi Model 3 B+ on Raspberry Pi OS Lite. When I run the installer script, it fails at checking for ALSA libraries. I’m not quite sure what package that would refer to as I have both libasound2 and alsa-utils installed. Any ideas?

Can you use Ropieee instead?

That will give you Roon Ready (as well as Airplay and DLNA etc. if you want.)

This is the link to the knowledge base on the subject of Linux installation. Your answer will be there hopefully.

Hi @Willow_Reed,

Since some time has passed without a post on this thread, we wanted to verify you’re still encountering this issue. Have you tried Ropieee as suggested above? There’s a rich user community to support and provide further suggestions if you’re stuck.
