Cant play 192K with hifiberry digi toslink

I can play up to 96k just fine but the 192k just gives me crackling sounds.

i am running mate-ubuntu kernel 4.4.38-v7+

have simply added dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi

toslink to parasound zdac v.2 worked fine to 192k on pc realtek chip…

Any thoughts.

My experience with toslink is that 192 is at the very end of it’s capabilities and unless you are fortuitous and every link in the chain is playing at the top of its game you’ll get what you hear.

I always took 192 as a bonus rather than a given.
