Are you running a wireless connection (wifi) between your router and your Mac? If so, could you change this to a wired connection?
Also, try to use a wired connection to your endpoint.
And you say you have an aging computer. Maybe it is at the end of its life…?
Thanks a lot for your time Arlen. I do use an Ethernet connection from my router to my Mac Mini. It’s aging (maybe 6 years strictly dedicated to Roon use), but certainly not to the point it disconnects my Roon server every other minute… It happened overnight, I’d say few days after an OS update.
Hi @Vincent_Baudoin,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. I activated diagnostics on your account and I’m able to see the interruptions happening in your logs. Here are some basic troubleshooting steps that you can try. Please let us know if they solve your problem or not.
Restart your RoonServer, Endpoint, Router and any other network hardware like switches between the RoonServer and the router, and between the SOtM endpoint and your router.
Make sure all drivers and firmware are up to date on the SOtM
Check whether System Output plays properly on your Mac Mini.
Thank you so much for investigating my issues. I confirm I’ve done everything you said and the issue remain the same, whether I use my SOtM or every other endpoints (including system output).
Strangely it seems I can’t reproduce the issue using ARC. Everything seems fine on this front, which must be a world record
I’m away from my core for the next hours but I’ll perform every kind of tests you want me to tonight.
Hi @benjamin
Sorry for my late answer, I thought the problem was fixed as it didn’t occurred for the last two days. But this morning it’s back…
I haven’t updated the SOtM SMS 200 Ultra as it usually fails but unless you tell me otherwise, I don’t think my problem is linked. It occurs even if the SMS200 is unplugged…
I don’t have any firewall set up and here is my signal path. Please help, Benjamin!
