The DAC2HD works fine with the Hi Fi Berry OS.
[root@ropieeeDAC2HD ~]# aplay -l
aplay: device_list:272: no soundcards found...
I have a pi3B also with a DAC2HD - which I upgraded to the latest version - and it works fine.
The card is not being initialised properly, hence there’s no device.
Have you checked the physical connections?
It looks good - plus if I switch the SD card to run HiFiBerryOS without changing anything else - then it runs fine.
Yeah was about to write back that I take it back.
The message is just a warning that it’s busy initialising.
It looks like a timing issue as the driver comes up a little bit later.
Not sure though why it does not properly setup the driver anyhow…
Is it helpful if I also send feedback from the (working perfectly for ages) Pi3B with the same HAT?

The Pi3B also has a HiFiBerry DAC2 HD.
It also has an analogue amp HAT on top of that - but expect we’re past driver and software interaction at that point.
