@support I had a Bluesound setup working perfectly fine (Node 2, Flex and Mini). Speakers disappear and appear. I grouped a Flex and Mini and I can’t find a way to ungroup them them. The ungroup option in Roon is grayed out. I am running on a Wifi network with Dual band (2.4 and 5Ghz). I have the latest firmware on everything.
I am testing Roon, but I think I will not go ahead, unless I can fix it before the trial ends.
Can you have grouped them in BluOS?
Please, post a screen shot of your Audio Settings where the Bluesounds are visible?
Hello @Jose_Andrade,
Thanks for contacting support, I’d be happy to take a look over this issue with you. Starting off, can you please provide more information regarding you setup using this link as a guide?
- Please be sure let me know the specifications of your Core running Roon and what kind of networking equipment you are using here, model/manufacturer of Router, any switches you may have, range extenders, ect.
- Are all of your Bluesound devices and the Core machine connected through WiFi or are any of them plugged in through Ethernet?
- If they are connected over WiFi, can you please connect all of your devices (Blusound and Core) via Ethernet (Cat5/Cat6) to verify if the same behavior occurs?
- Have you tried rebooting your Core machine, Bluesound devices and Network gear and the same behavior still persists?
- Can you please post a screenshot of your Audio Settings as Mikael suggests as well?
Please let me know when possible and we can continue troubleshooting from there.
Thanks,
Noris
Thank you Noris,
Core is running on a 128GB SSD drive (MyDigitalSSD 120GB (128GB) OTG V2 SuperSpeed USB 3.1 Gen 1 Portable SSD with UASP Support - MDMS-OTG-128) attached to QNAP TS251+ with 8 GB RAM.
Cable Modem/Router is an Arris TG1682G. The QNAP Drive is connected directly to the router.
My access Points are Pakedge WK-1 (https://www.pakedge.com/products/wireless/)
All the BlueSound devices are connected through Wifi only (Node 2, 2 Pulse Flex and 1 Pulse Mini)
Once I reboot the Core machine, everything works for a little and then the Bluesound Pulse Mini or Node 2 disappears. These 2 devices are connected via Wifi to the 2nd Wifi router which is on the 2nd floor. Distance to the Node 2 is about 25 feet and to the Pulse Mini is 50 feet. Answering to your questions, it makes think that very likely my problem is due to the 2nd Wifi Access Point. Both Access Point are wired to the router, but having it on the 2nd floor on a large house across the ceiling and the distance might not be helping me.
The moment I reboot the core or the Access Points, the speakers come back again. I know it’s a better setting to have everything wired, but that’s not possible in this house without a major investment, so I’m going to try adding another repeater. My subscription starts tomorrow, so I will go ahead a try it for the first year.
