I have roon trial and can't get roon arc to work because I have T-Mobile home internet, which doesn't offer port forwarding. Why can't roon be made like apple music, which uses one app. I can use the apple music app in my home, as well as, on the road all from one app and it just works without port forwarding, or any complicated setup. I prefer to use roon, because it sounds better than apple music, but all the complexities of setting up roon makes it difficult to use. Your sales will significantly increase if it was as easy to use as the apple music app. So, now I have to cancel my trial, because although I use roon in my home, my main use is outside of my home, in my car. Thanks
Apple Music and similar cloud-based services stream content from Apple’s servers — not from your home.
ARC is different: it provides direct, secure access to your personal RoonServer at home, which requires a reachable network path. That’s why port forwarding or an alternative tunnel is needed.
Providers like T-Mobile Home Internet use CG-NAT and do not give you a public IP, which unfortunately means inbound connections cannot be established.
Our official guide for Tailscale, which requires no port forwarding at all, is already provided by @Suedkiez

T-Mobile Fiber only recently implemented CG-NAT across their residential-tier accounts, unless I remember incorrectly.
It’s worth reaching out to them to inquire whether you can grandfather into a dedicated external IPv4 address, or whether they offer any other solutions for port forwarding.
Otherwise, Tailscale will be a reliable alternative here. If you’re using Windows or Mac, it’s particularly easy:
