None of the above quite fits

Can't see my gustard x30 streamer on the cell. Can see it only in my laptop.
Both are on the same wifi net

Tell us about your home network

· This is not the issue, my laptop is ok with the net, switch and same wifi

Hello @animalrn,

To understand what’s happening here, we’ll need a bit more information.

Please share the following:

  1. Screenshots from the laptop
  • Go to Settings → Audio in Roon on your laptop
  • Take a screenshot showing the Gustard X30 and its status (Enabled / Disabled)
  1. Screenshots from the phone
  • Open Roon on your cellphone
  • Go to Settings → Audio
  • Take a screenshot of what audio devices are visible there
  1. Phone details
  • Phone model and OS version (iOS / Android)

Even if both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, differences in network segmentation, multicast discovery, or app state can cause a device to appear on one controller but not another.

Once we see the Audio settings from both devices, we can advise more precisely.

Hi @animalrn,

Please try disabling the 6GHz band feature on this phone in your Android network settings. 6GHz channels sometimes cause LAN isolation issues with Roon.

I also recommend ensuring that Android battery saver settings are restricting Roon’s access to the network interface on the phone:

Settings → Apps → Roon → Battery, set “Unrestricted

Do you have any VPNs or network security features on this phone? What about managed switches in your network?

We’ll watch for your response. Thank you!

Hi @animalrn,

We want to check in on this thread since we haven’t seen any responses in several days.

Have you tried disabling the 6GHz band? Roon can have trouble on some phones using the 6 GHz Wi-Fi band because device discovery relies on multicast traffic, which many phones throttle or block on 6 GHz to save battery or reduce interference. The band also has a shorter range and poorer wall penetration compared to 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz, making connections less reliable. Aggressive phone-specific Wi-Fi optimizations or band-steering can further disrupt communication with the RoonServer.

Try using 5 GHz instead and disabling Wi-Fi power-saving features.
