Certain Qobuz tracks won't play in Roon but work in Qobuz app (ref#NIMMRA)

I meant to add: the rest of the album plays as normal.

Another one this morning. Dire Straits, Private Investigations (Remastered 2022), off the album Money for Nothing (Remastered 2022). Plays 22 seconds, then freezes. Plays fine on Qobuz app.

In fact worse than this, after the freeze up, the whole Roon system stops playing anything - I can queue up new tracks but pressing pay has no effect. Have to reboot Roon Core (on an Innuos) to get it to play again.

I know you’ve been having troubles with the Qobuz interface, I hope these symptoms and track specifics help diagnose. It’s spoiling my enjoyment when it’s become a shake of a dice whether a track will play, or continue to play.

Thanks for writing in and for sharing your report! I’d be curious to see if some of the lingering Qobuz CDN-related issues may be causing you your playback stoppages - if you temporarily set up a VPN for a location outside of the EU, do you still experience the same stoppages?

Well… just before I did the experiment with the VPN, I thought I’d just confirm that the problem was still there. And guess what… they’re both playing properly now. :man_shrugging:t2:

No reboot, no network restart, no nothing, it’s just working again.

I guess you can close this off, and will be sure to report any future similar incidents, and likely try the VPN thing as an additional data point.
