After update 2.48 Build 1517 on the Nucleus One, the channel mapping using HDMI to my Primare SPA25 has moved 1 channel. For now I solved this by using the MUSE Procedural EQ Mix and added rule that Input 1 is output 8, input 2 is output 1, input 3 is output 2 etc. I tested this with a channel ID file. It is both on stereo and 5.1 content that the channel mapping is off. Before update 2.48 this problem was non-excisting. For stereo content using network playback, there is no issue. Could you take a look what is happening? Thanks.
Describe your network setup
Nucleus One is hard wired to Netgear GS108 which is connected to an ZTE Experia V10 router. The Primare SPA25 is hardwired directly to the Experia router.
We attempted to enable diagnostics on your account, but it appears that the Nucleus One is not visible in our system. Could you please confirm if it’s using the same account as the one you’re using on the forum?
Also, could you let us know when the update took place? This will help us better understand the issue.
In the meantime, please follow the instructions found here to collect your logs, and upload them using our File Uploader. Once the logs have been uploaded, kindly let us know so we can check the server for your files.
Hi @vadim thank you for your reply. The Nucleus One and my user account on the forum use the same emailaddress. Do I need to turn something on at the Nucleus side?
The update tookplace I believe 2 weeks ago (28-03-2025) when the message of a new update appeared in Roon.
The log zip file was just uploaded, it has my user name in the filename. Thanks again.
Just having the Nucleus on and connected to your network should be enough.
Can you please try a RAATServer refresh?
You can generate a new RAATServer instance on your device by following these instructions, but please be aware that this will reset your Roon Settings → Audio Tab to factory settings and I would advise making a backup of any custom DSP settings you have:
@daniel Hi, thank you for the steps. I followed those but the problem remains. Only with Procedural EQ Mix on, the music is played in the correct channels. This is a good workaround anyway, but still strange that it needs to be used with Roon Ready AVR.
BTW, the recent 2.49 update did not solve the problem either.
Thanks for confirming that the issue is happening with a Roon Ready AVR, I was under the impression that this was happening with the HDMI output, not in Roon Ready mode, or am I misunderstanding? Are you able to reproduce this behavior with other test tracks or just that one track?
