Another Tidal sync issue

Charli XCX released a new single 2 days ago (House featuring John Cale), I’ve added it to my Tidal library and run a sync but it still doesn’t show up in Roon.

The reason why you don’t see a newly released song is that Roon has its own database of tracks from Tidal and sometimes it happens that the song is released on Tidal but Roon still does not have a record about this song.

In this case we just recommend you to wait for a little bit more and the song should appear for you. Alternatively, you can download this song and add to local library or try to fetch it from another Streaming Service (Qobuz f.i.) .

I understand it can be disappointing when a new release doesn’t show up right away. The timing of 24 hours isn’t guaranteed, but it should sync automatically soon. Thanks so much for your patience while it updates.

@Henry_Buckle There should be a TIDAL version available to you now. I wonder if you favourited a “video only” or “Atmos” version in TIDAL, which is not available in Roon?

Thanks for the screenshot! Something odd is certainly going on here, since it’s showing Jan 1 as the added date.

If you haven’t yet, can you please first safely stop Roon Server from running, and then reboot your server machine?

If that doesn’t help, try removing the track from your Tidal account, then log out and re-log back into Tidal through Roon, and attempt to add it again.

It is finally showing up as added now (I didn’t take any further action just checked again this morning), thanks for looking into it.

But given the amount of confusion and complaints this delay with new releases causes I feel like the team needs to come up with some way of addressing it (I’m sure there are many excellent technical reasons for why it is like it is, but there’s always a workaround somewhere)
