Sometimes I turn on my Chord Poly/Mojo2 stack and it’s instantly a device to play music to in Roon and sometimes I turn it on and off and on and off and fumble with the buttons some. I’m on the close to newest firmware on it as it would never let me push the newest with GoFigure but I’m one micro version behind what shows there.
Anyone had any issues? It shouldn’t be wifi issues as sometimes I turn it on near my router. I’m pretty tech saavy but there are so few things to troubleshoot. Connecting with GoFigure is also hit or miss. It’s too bad because the stack sounds amazing when it works.
If I understand correctly, you’re saying the Poly doesn’t always appear in the list of available audio devices/zones? Have you looked in Settings->Audio (in Roon) when experiencing the problem? Does the Poly appear there, but as unavailable? If so, there should be a little refresh button next to it, try clicking that and see if it reconnects.
Are you certain the Poly is fully charged? Unfortunately, if the Poly battery is empty, it won’t charge until the Mojo has a full charge. Dumb in my opinion, since you can’t turn off the Poly, and it will always connect to Wi-Fi even when the Mojo is off, draining its battery quicker than the Mojo.
(This is what happens with the original Mojo Poly combination.)
When you turn off a Mojo / Poly combination, the Mojo is 100% off, but the Poly is in a low power mode watching for the Mojo being powered on.
So if you leave the pair for a few days it’s easy to get a situation where the Mojo powers on, but the Poly is out of power. In that case the unit won’t be seen by Roon or the Chord app which both talk to the Poly.
So you probably need to charge more often to keep the Poly charged.
With a Mojo2 I think it’s fine to keep it plugged in when you’re not using it (since the Mojo2 handles this, I think with the older Mojo this can reduce battery life).
