Chromecast Audio brielfy appears as end point but then disappears

Hey, just wondering if anyone can help me with this.
I just got the chromecast audio. I can cast to it via sound cloud and other apps.
If i restart my pc, the cca end point shows up briefly and i can play to it, but it then disappears.
i’ve paused my firewall and virus protection tools, but to no effect.

Hi @Mike-D,

What Core are you using and what’s your network setup like? A few routers don’t have proper multicast options enabled to work with Roon, we have documented the one’s we have seen so far on our Networking Best Practices Guide, I would check to see if your router is listed there and also make sure that Roon is added as an exception to the Operating System firewall, link for Windows and link for OSX.

I enabled multicast queries on my router and that seems to have fixed it - thanks !

I now have roon in the living room !
