Describe the issue

The progress bar on Chromecast display is too thin and almost invisible at a distance. It wasn't like that before I'm not sure when it changes but I'd guess it was a few weeks ago after an update

Describe your network setup

Huawei router WiGi AX2, no switches or extenders

Hello @Rodrigo_Pantoja,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support.

The issue you’re experiencing is primarily due to the fact that we do not receive waveform data from streaming services.

We’ll bring your feedback about the progress bar size to the attention of our product team. Depending on their assessment, we may move your post to the Feature Request section so other users can support the idea as well.

We’ll keep you updated here with any next steps.

Thanks for your reply. I just wanted to add that I’m aware that the appearance of the progress bar changes when I play files stored locally and it shows a “wavy” progress indicator. What I’m reporting is that in the case where, as you say, there is no waveform data, the bar used to be much wider and therefore easier to see while now it looks like it’s single pixel wide.

Hi @Rodrigo_Pantoja,
Thanks for reporting this issue and for providing detailed information. We’ve spoken to our developers, and they’ve confirmed that this is indeed a bug. They’re currently investigating how best to address it. We’ll keep you updated here as soon as we have any news.

Appreciate your patience in the meantime!

Hey @Rodrigo_Pantoja

Thanks for performing that test, we have added this info to the investigation ticket. The ticket has been submitted for developer review, meaning that this may take some time to be reviewed.

There aren’t any additional details needed at this time, so we will go ahead and close the thread for the time being, and if any other questions arise after the developers have reviewed the case, we will re-open the thread and reach out once more.

Thanks again for your report, and thank you in advance for your patience as the ticket progresses through the development queue for review.
