Chromescast not enabling

Hi Roon Labs, I’m having exactly the same issue as David. I’ve just installed Roon onto my MacBook. I’ve set-up Airplay devices fine. I have two Chromecast devices and nothing happens when i click ‘Enable’ within audio settings

I have split your post into it’s own thread so that I can better assist you here. Can you please let me know some additional details regarding your setup?

  1. What is your Core model/manufacturer?
  2. How is it connected to the network (WiFi/Ethernet)?
  3. What it the model/manufacturer of your networking gear?
  4. Are any other apps actively controlling the Chromecast when you try to enable it?
  5. Are the Chromecasts and Core on the same network (including subnet)?

Hi,

I’ve had the same problem on two different roon cores.

Managed to solve it by turning off all firewalls then restarting the roon core. I then just added an exception once I realised it was the firewall stopping it working correctly.
