I have noticed that the playing times of my library are completely unrealistic. In the last 4 weeks I’m supposed to have listened to 512 hours of music, including 158 hours of QE2 by Mike Oldfield.

Have you by chance accidentally left a Roon zone playing whilst using another. Has happened to me once or twice.
No, I have checked that. Firstly, I should hear it, as I only have a 3.5 room flat with 3 zones (the hours also increase disproportionately when I’m at home). I also checked the noise meter on the Netatmo station for the last few days.
and in the last two or three days it’s about 200 hours
I play to a phone zone silently all the time
Do you see anything strange in the queues reproduced in the various zones? Or something strange in the “My History” section of Roon?
Hi all,
today I started noticing that my recent listening times are way, way off. Last week alone Roon reports I listened to music for almost 2’500 hours.
I do not know if this coincided with a software update and I do not know if today’s early access software versions will resolve this. Today already sits at 100 hours.
My Last.fm scrobbles work correctly and there is no background stream on any of my devices.
ROCK v. 2.0 (build 1456)
Wow that is impressive. You would need to have 100s of endpoints to get that many hours in.
I just checked mine and it is not like yours (only ~72 hours in four weeks).
Mine have also gone a little crazy…
the strange thing in the history is that when I scroll down in the history, it always shows from today to about 7 days and then again from today to about 7 days, that seems to repeat itself constantly. Further down I am shown various tracks which I should theoretically have listened to 50 times in a row (day 7), from there the history seems OK to me.
As long as I play the radio, everything seems to be ok. When I started an album earlier, the counter jumped from 519 to 612 hours. The album QE2 has now gone from 158 hours to 181 hours!
Time travel much? But seriously maybe a bad CMOS battery or other clock issue on the server…
You’re not the only one. A bug I would imagine.
It is a NUC running a dedicated ROCK server. I do not know if issues you are describing are likely in that scenario.
You’re not the only one affected there is another thread about it. It’s a Roon bug and likely cloud related as this stuff is from their servers.
Presumably connected, I’m also noticing crazy high numbers of plays against specific tracks. Something is clearly very broken!
For example, I only added this album a couple of days ago:
The high play counts also appear on my end… this is hugely annoying as it has now completely destroyed my listening history and how much I listened to certain artists. I assume there is no way to revert this?!
I did not see the other thread.
I do not quite understand what you mean with “cloud related”. Are play counts and related things not done locally on the Roon server? Why would the cloud be involved here?
Agreed…it will be super annoying if this is permanent. @Early_Access - any comment on this point?
@moderators - could we merge in with this thread please, if appropriate:
Merged as requested.
All those features are fed and calculated up in Roons cloud. There are things that stops working if you lose internet.
