Description of Issue
I fail to connect my nucleus directly to my pre Amp _ DAC getting no signal selecting the USB as the audio input on my pre Amp. While if i select the digital input on my pre Amp I di get the signal.
Bottom line: I’d like to use the nucleus connected to my amp to have more direct sound.
People from Cyrus confirm I should connect:
Nucleus to router by intranet
Nucleus to pre amp by USB cable
And then select USB on the audio source of my pre amp
But I get no signal wondering if I have a wrong setting my Roon.
We don’t know. Sadly you haven’t shared your Roon settings for that audio zone – it’s even unclear from your descriptions, if you have activated the audio device as a playback zone in Roon at all.
PS: Looking at your picture, I get the impression that the USB cable might not be inserted completely – maybe worth you check it again.

When you check the settings in Roon as per @BlackJack’s link to the settings posted above, you need to have the DAC powered up otherwise Roon will not see it.
