How can I connect Roon server to other devices like TV, and AppleTV (living room)?
Virgin media router, and appleTV.
It should appear under audio settings, just enable it there and then select it as the output zone.
If you actually want to control playback of Roon using your Apple TV remote, rather than simple sending audio to it via AirPlay, then there’s a 3rd party AppleTV app available.
As for the TV it will depend on the model and if it supports ChromeCast. If it does you just need to enable it in the audio device screen above. If not, just connect the Apple TV or a ChromeCast dongle to it via HDMI and stream to that device.
If your Roon server is next to the TV you can just connect it up via HDMI. Although worth noting that if you’re using a Nucleus or ROCK as your Roon server it will only output audio. There is no graphical Roon interface displayed via HDMI, all you’ll see is the text based Roon OS boot up screen.
If your looking for a ‘Now Playing’ type display on your TV you need to take a slightly different approach.
