Connection with Dynaudio Focus 50

Describe your network setup

Wifi network, everything was just working fine two days ago.
The Dynaudio Focus 50 was connected as Roon Ready in the Roon app but since two days, the Focus 50 don't appear anymore. I did a factory reset of the Focus 50 and I just can use them via Airplay and not Roon Ready.
Thanks for your help because Roon is a game-changer for me :)

How is your Focus connected to your network? Is it ethernet or Wi-Fi? Is there any network hardware between the Focus and your router?

Hello Daniel, thanks for your reply.
The Focus 50 are connected through Wifi and no hardware between the Focus and the router.
Should I connect them with an ethernet cable ?

Hey @Sathy_Ngouane,

For the sake of troubleshooting, it would definitely be worth testing out a hard-wired ethernet connection. Let us know if you still run into issues afterward!

It also may be helpful to reboot your Router, as well as Roon Server if you haven’t already.

We’ll be on standby for your results! Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello

Everything works fine with an ethernet cable from the router to the primary Focus 50. Still no luck with Wifi even after rebooting the router, the MacBook and the speakers :frowning:

Thanks for your help

Sathy

Hi @Sathy_Ngouane,

Thats good to know! While we always suggest a hardwire connection if possible, here are a few additional things you can test in terms of trying to find success over Wifi:

  • Optimize Router Placement – Keep the router in an open space, elevated, and away from walls or interference (like microwaves or cordless phones).
  • Use 5GHz WiFi – If possible, connect to 5GHz for better speed and stability.
  • Reduce Interference – Minimize overlapping networks by changing the WiFi channel in the router settings.
