· Hi! My Topping DX3 + Pro stopped showing up as an audio zone/device to use in the audio tab within Roon's settings. I'm using version 2.60 on both the MacBook Pro 2020(which I use as the Roon Server) and the Windows PC I use for my primary listening. This happened after I'd kept trying to fix Roon ARC not working with my Android phone for an hour or so. The DX3 had worked without issue for around 6 months before this. A screenshot from me is unlikely to help; I simply don't see the device name in any form in the list of available/connected audio devices/computers/etc. Any tips? Thanks!
My setup:
Windows 11(2020 MacBook Pro used as the Roon Server) Topping DX3 Pro+ connected via USB Fresh reinstall of Roon 2.0+ RAATServer running (4 instances in firewall--I deleted all but 1 and triple-checked it was set up properly) Device fully recognized in Windows Sound Settings No Topping device appearing in Settings → Audio

· No switches/VPN; Model is Netgear R6230, connected via ethernet cable. Again, Windows Audio fully recognizes/works with my Topping DX3+ Pro.
I am new to the world of Sonos and was surprised to read that ROON supports this eco-system. However, I have immediately experienced the “Roon lost control of audio device” issue when connecting to a Sonos Arc Ultra soundbar (fully patched and updated as of today OS = S2 Build = 81.00.52) via Sonos streaming AND although get stable “Roon is working” symbolism there no sound when connecting via AirPlay2 (via iPhone and iPad both on 26.3). The Soundbar is the center of a home theater Sonos eco-system with compatible surround sound speakers and sub.
I do have a meshed WiFI network and in recent weeks have seen iPad in particular being slow to be visible in ROON, but after a delay it is found and does work normally. I also had to force it to update to current ROON 2.60 (build 1629).
Perhaps ROON and Sonos latest software versions are in conflict? As I noted above, it is amazing Sonos is normally compatible given no formal relationship between the two businesses.

· TP Link HB810 (NAginet version) meshed environment of five units from fibre ONT running at 2Gbps symmetrical. Mixture of WiFi and ethernet connections form each TP Link unit.
· Can't connect to backup on Synology NAS . Synology NAS shows a warning that connection using SMB1 is not permitted. Connection via Finder in MacOS using SMB is working perfectly fine.
Also, local locations are not shown in the dialogue box where it asks to choose the folder that contains the backup so I cannot even select the backup files I've copied form the NAS to my desktop.
Note that it has all been working fine previously. I only did a fresh install of the OS via UEFI (ROCK running on my NUC) to get the Tailscale options and get ARC working.

· Router is a Unifi Dream Machine Pro with Unifi PoE and non-PoE network switches. NUC is connected via ethernet and the MacBook Pro which I'm using to access the backup in Roon via WiFi. Latter is able to access the NAS via SMB from the Finder.
Thank you for your patience while we investigated the “Unexpected Error” and login/connection issues reported today.
What Happened: We identified a DNS resolution issue between our servers and our network provider, Cloudflare. This was linked to a routing update on the Cloudflare network, which caused intermittent failures for Roon logins, “Metadata Improver Paused” errors, and synchronization issues with Tidal and Qobuz.
Services should now to be back normal. If you are still seeing connectivity errors, please reboot your Roon Server and any remote devices to clear the local DNS cache.
We are continuing to monitor the stability of the connection. If you have further trouble, please let us know below.
This is not working for me either and changing DNS settings is not a possibility given other network dependencies I have (I work on this network). I have rebooted my roon/rock server, my router and my streamer several times time to no avail.
Asking your customers to change their router settings is a non starter; we pay enough for you guys to sort these things out for us especially when their other options like Qobuz Connect that sound comparable to your product. I’m really glad now that I didn’t invest in a lifetime license.
It looks like the Cloudflare Newark (EWR) Datacenter is the problem for me given that I live in Northern New Jersey. It seems like an outstanding issue now with no update on their site for 3 days. Is this correct?
in order power-cycled gateway, power-cycled orbi, power-cycled nucleus. All appeared well except server didn’t start after i pressed power button on nucleus. Clicked Start on the Nucleus server webpage. Got Restart Error as usual. So no change.
Thankfully, my system is working properly. I just feel bad for those users who still have issues. FWIW, I rebooted my system when I didn’t see any change.
Roon seems to be working fine now - Qobuz, Discography, search - all fine. But the red triangle Metadata Improver: Paused is still there. Surprisingly, the Roon GUI feels exceptionally fast and responsive compared to what I’ve been seeing for the last few weeks.
We’re surfacing a quick update to let you know we’ve identified that the Cloudflare-related outage might still affect some users.
Symptoms:
530 Errors: Connection failures between Roon and our network provider.
410 Errors: Failures in retrieving metadata or account verification.
Our team is currently investigating why these errors have returned and will provide updates here as the investigation progresses. Thank you for sticking with us while we get this sorted.
I am not sure if this may be related to recent cloudflare issue but I have a lot of artwork missing/blank.
This started recently, I would say yesterday 25/02/2026 or maybe a bit earlier.
So I am not sure if this has been reported elsewhere? I have seen some older thread about this from beginning of this month but that was closed as ‘Resolved’
