Hi. I’m having no end of trouble trying to play Tidal or Qobuz through Roon. I keep getting logged out and when I am logged in any album won't load. My Roon server is a mini PC. 10th Gen intel core i7 16GB Ram & 2SSDs. I can access my library I have loaded but always have issues with streaming services. Roon radio is fine. Please help

I don’t know if this is another manifestation of the same issue: on Roon home page in iPad app (and in subpage screenshotted here) “New Releases” have not updated this week, on new release Friday.

I’ve had Roon trouble starting yesterday. Today I tried to figure out what’s going on. I see a header on this page that says:

So today I cannot play any music on Roon. I cannot even login to my personal server. I purchased a lifetime license so it seems to be I shouldn’t have any problems but this is just unbelievable!

My understanding is that this is happening because Roon has tight licensing technology that even prevent people with a lifetime license from using the software because their servers are preventing this.

I am now very unhappy Roon user…

There is nothing about a lifetime license that gives a person something special. I have three of them. ■■■■ happens from time to time and it will get resolved.

Those issues are supposed to be solved by now (though perhaps there are lingering issues, the New Releases not updating is one of them)

This is incorrect. Roon works (with reduced functionality regarding features that need internet) for playback for up to 30 days without any internet connection. (This is the same for lifetime or subscriptions). Anyway, my server (with lifetime) worked generally throughout these cloud issues, and I believe that’s how it was for others as well (with the noted limitations like metadata improver getting stuck for some).

Most likely, your issues are unrelated and you should open your own support ticket to get the proper help focused on whatever your specific problem is.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your patience while we worked through this. We’ve implemented additional infrastructure changes following our previous message, and things now appear to be stable based on our monitoring.

We’ll continue keeping a close eye on it, but if you notice anything still not behaving as expected, please let us know. Your feedback helps us ensure everything remains on track.

Hi,

Problem disappeared, but after the latest Roon updates (server 2.61 [build 1639] production) + (remote 2.61 [build 1639] production) I can no longer play from my Windows 11 PC (very latest production updates) via USB to my TEAC UD505 DAC (original version, not the ‘X’) with the latest FW update. All was well before this Roon update…

In Roon/Settings/Audio I see an error message on my TEAC ASIO USB DRIVER saying “Device not Found”). I still have my Roon ready streamer on an SPDIF port, but no longer can play native .DSF (native DSD) files…

All is working again after I did a Roon backup restore. Don’t know if that was the solution or simply a USB connection problem.

This last post is concluded if nobody else has/had the problem.
