Describe the issue
I am using an iPad 9 as a desktop client for Roon (core is on Synology DS-918+). When I open Roon on my iPad Mini 6 (to use as a remote), both iPads lose connection to the core server. I have rebooted everything and ensured that the network names (and IP addresses) are unique. This does not happen if I open Roon on my iPhone 15 Pro .
Describe your network setup
Asus RT-AX86U, wired connection to Synology, wifi to iPads. 1 Gbps fiber internet.
Hey @Richard_Wright,
Thanks for writing in, and for the report!
Did you by chance use Time Machine, or another program to restore one iPads database to the other?
Have you removed and re-download Roon on either iPad?
If you could, please reproduce the issue, share a more specific date, time, and track playing (if applicable), and then please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs from one of the affected iPads to our File Uploader, that would be helpful.
Thank you!
I did not use Time Machine, but I did setup the iPad 7 using the iPad mini 6 iCloud backup. I did just remove Roon and reinstall on both iPads and the problem seems to be resolved now. Thanks for the suggestion. I kept thinking it was a network issue (or a bug).
