Thank you David for your insight to BT Internet, it has been very helpful. Based on information received from a couple of close friends that use Roon and Roon arc and have recently changed providers to EE Internet, and both are extremely pleased, to the point that there systems are working faultlessly. However, I do understand that BT, Openreach and EE are one and the same, but, EE supply a more favourable router that is compatible with what I’m after and of course with the Roon setup.
Anyway, I’ve pressed the button now for a new provider, and most certainly won’t miss Sky (especially the extortionate costs)
Hope it works for you! I did mean to say (but forgot) that EE is now the consumer face of BT (at least as far as internet is concerned) and that this means, as a new customer, you will probably be given an EE router. I had neighbours who were very happy with their EE router. Good luck and enjoy.
Thanks for letting us know you’ve opted for an ISP change, should you have any questions during or after, please let us know, and we’d be happy to assist.
Wanted to follow up on this. Since you mentioned you’ve opted for an ISP change, have you made it through that switch, or are you still in the middle of it? If the new connection is already live, let us know whether anything changed on the Roon side, and if you run into any setup questions during or after the handoff, we can help sort those out.
Please note, if we don’t hear back from you this thread may close automatically soon. If the thread auto-closes and you need further assistance, please submit a reopen support request via the technical support help form below and specify that the issue should be reopened. Thank you.
Thanks for the follow up. The ISP switch doesn’t happen until the 25th August and if this thread auto closes before that date, I can aways get back to you if I encounter any problems with the new connection.
