When using the Android app I'm getting an error message "Error Loading saved Page".
It happens consistently all the time.
I have excellent Wi-Fi in my house all of my playback units are wired via Ethernet.
The music also stops playing after it has been looping for several hours it just stops.
Also we hear pops on our speakers periodically with no explanation.
We were running the native application for the WiiM Ultra for almost 2 months and never had any of these problems it's only started happening since we've implemented Roon
Describe your network setup
Wired Ethernet 1GB. Problems occuring when playing local library which is wired Ethernet.
You mention your playback units are all hardwired - how is your Windows running Roon Server connected to your network? Can you temporarily set up a direct ethernet connection to your primary router here as well?
Please set up a simplified network connection, and test playback from the system output of the windows 11, and see if your issues persist.
When this occurs, are you able to review the file format of the tracks? What devices do you have in your audio chain between your windows server and your speakers?
I would also test out using the Resync Delay feature, this often times helps with pops/clicks when switching songs. Here’s more info:
All of the tracks playing were locally ripped MP3 files at 44k. Nothing complex and nothing special.
Device Chain is NAS DRIVE, TO ROON SERVER to WIIM ULTRA, all wired ETHERNET connections. Again everything was working perfectly with WIIM DIRECT ONLY SOFTWARE, so the hardware or networking route is 99.99% chance not the issues here.
To get back to you:
I rebooted the ROON SERVER (A windows PC with Windows 11, i9 processor, and 32GB of Ram, that is used for nearly nothing else but Roon.
Once I rebooted, everything started running well again. Roon also installed an update at the same time… So I am not sure which of the two events resolved the issues. My family is on full alert to notify me of any odd behavior.
I am also near the end of my TRIAL PERIOD, really wanted to do the LIFETIME license to support you and the team, but I really can’t commit until we have 30 days of stable playback. I really don’t want to become TECH SUPPORT for my family on another product. I am sure you understand… Thanks for getting back to me.
