Consistent issues with Roon, now not playing Tidal/Qobuz song

0, I don’t have any local library. There are around 6K tracks in Tidal/Qobuz favorites - I use both services concurrently.

Description of Issue

I have been facing realiability issues with Roon for some time now and for different reasons. More recently, my Zen Stream drops signal and skips tracks or playback error while I am upsampling my Tidal or Qobuz streams to 176.4K or 384K. The Zen Stream is connected via WiFI and this was never a problem in the same setup some time ago. Something has changed recently.

There are also Roon radio issues where it often gives error saying cannot find similar songs on familiar songs it used to work fine on… This is occasional but happens once a week. I have to change the song or restart the radio button which sometimes fixes the issue and sometime doesn’t.

And now I can’t seem to play this song (or any other song from this artist) that I found on Roon, used to play it fine before and it’s no longer playing neither from Qobuz nor tidal. As reference, it plays fine on the native Tidal app. Please see screen shots below. I did try to reboot the Rock but to no end.

I need to play all my songs with Roon without errors, Please let me know how to fix this.



Is there an improvement if you don’t upsample? Also, please describe your network including how devices are connected, i.e., Ethernet and Wi-Fi.

Hi, it’s 5GHZ mesh network. The Zen Stream is around 5 meters from the router and as I mentioned, it used to work just fine with upsampling earlier. I have another Zen Stream in my speakers Rig that is connected via lan cable to the switch. The rock is also hard wired to the network.

The album I showed does not play regardless of the upsampling or device. Seems Roon is blocking it out something…

Can you please check if you can play these songs via Tidal or Qobuz directly.

I just found out that the only reason I was able to play on the phone is coz I had saved it in my Tidal library. Seems I can’t play it anywhere else and Qobuz app says the artist is basically unavailable. It’s one of those media removals from libraries. I hate streaming for that…

Anyways, the remaining issues I have mentioned still remain… especially where I can’t upsample my audio on Zen STtream without losing playback.

Can anyone else confirm my experience with the song /artist I mentioned above or if you can play this at all? Just wanna know it’s not just my library getting corrupt. Thanks

I cannot play that track or a lot of other ones by the artist on either Tidal or Qobuz.
