After an hour or so, I went back to the iPhone. It was sleeping, of course. After opening the Roon app, I saw that the local iPhone queue had been re-filled with the same old stuff again.
Thank you for your posts, @Suedkiez, it aligns with my experience as well, it looks like clearing the queue stopped working properly but I still only see this for the only zoen which is affected by this bug. Anyway, I passed this information to the dev team, let’s see what they say about this.

I’m having the same issues. This is in the production version from the update from yesterday. For me it triggers whenever grouped zone goes on or off. Momentarily Roon goes blank when an endpoint that is grouped goes on or off, saying “Go find something to play” and then when the Queue comes back it is not the same. Includes random stuff from above the current played item.
To repeat, this is the production version. Not early access.
Having similar issue with the queue miscuing and inserting previous played tracks randomly throughout the album tracks originally queued up. I have learned to check the queue whenever there is a pause while in play mode. A pause use to signal a connection issue. But now it usually means my queue is discombobulated.
I’m seeing the same. Well, actually what I noticed first was that albums I added after the upgrade had each song added twice.
I then thought ‘well, let’s see if restarting the server fixes it’, and when it came back I noticed that my hundreds-of-songs queue had gone through the blender. I’m not sure if that is tied to the server restart, I didn’t check the queue before restarting.
I have 3 zones and I just noticed that the queue in all 3 zones have approximately doubled in size. Going from about 1000 songs to 2000 songs. This happened after the Roon software updates yesterday.
build 1480. I noticed that strange things happen with the playback queue when Internet is lost even for a minute. Today I rebooted the router and after that the queue grew to 27,000 hours, although before there was only one album in it
This is quite an insidious bug. I am finding roon essentially unusable to all intents and purposes.
It is not practical to try and delete the already played content from the queue when it has grown to 20,000 items. Does anyone have a work-around? I have tried deleting the entire queue several times now (ctrl-A) and starting over with a new queue. All that happens is that in a short while roon smothers any new queue you create with old previously played content. I cannot see where roon is getting this historical played content from as one symptom is that there is now no queue play-history if you scroll up.
I hope this is not considered a new normal that production users are now expected to post in early access because of a bungled release.
I have the same problem, non early release (current build 1480) and there are no threads about the problem except here. I feel like I’m going crazy— current version of Roon is nearly unusable. I wish it was possible to roll back updates!
