Continuous Roon performance issues over two weeks (ref#9CNW4V)

· For the last two weeks I encountered multiple (continuous now) issues with Roon using Qobuz.

My system has been totally stable for 5 years and I didn’t make any changes to it.

Multiple issues:

- on several occasions Roon didn’t find my playing devices/zones
- ALL commands on Roon take from a few seconds to permanent freeze displaying the loading animation
- loading library shows recurring issues : 0 album out of 6021 or 15000 albums out of 6021 for instance. Any library operation is way too long.
- when trying to play an album, stops randomly at the end of tracks and recently mid tracks and simply hangs there
- playlists simply won’t work pass one or two songs if at all.

TO SUMMARIZE :

This is NOT hardware related, the situation is getting worse by the day for the last couple of weeks to the point (now !) where the system for all intent and purposes simply DOESN’T WORK.

This is not worthy of a once reputable company.

TO BE PERFECTLY CLEAR, the problems encountered are not only Qobuz related but appear also on LOCAL LIBRARY.

SO THIS IS VERY MUCH A ROON ISSUE !!!

Since you are now saying that this is not confined to Qobuz material, I’ve changed the title of this thread to avoid confusion with the ongoing Qobuz CDN issue.

The support team can pull diagnostics to analyse the issue further.

I’ve been having the same issues. Rebooting appears to alleviate the Roon responsiveness issue, and switching to Tidal - although a pain in its own right - took care of Qobuz.

Waking up this morning to see this. Not an April fools’ picture.

As can be seen, this shows a Roon issue beyond the known Qobuz problems.

Thanks for reaching out. We are investigating a few qobuz-related issues at the moment, and have released a bugfix for potential app hanging due to Qobuz recently. Has the latest Roon update by any chance helped with the issues you are experiencing?

If it hasn’t, can you please let us know the exact local time + date + track playing (if applicable) when the next issue(s) occur? We’ll enable diagnsotics to see if we can gather more clues. Thank you.

Just checking in on this, and I wanted to see whether the latest Roon update has made any difference with the Qobuz-related issue. If it is still happening, could you send us the exact local date and time, along with the track playing if there was one, when the next issue occurs so we can enable diagnostics and look for more clues? Please reply with any updates when you can.
