if I load 176.4kHz and 192kHz convolution filters only in Roon, will the 176.4 filter be used for (resampled to) the 44.1 family and 192 for 48kHz and it’s multiples?
No. Our sample rate converters are synchronous even when crossing rate families, so there is no reason to do that.
Thanks Brian. I normally use a filter created by Audiolense for each rate so I should be well covered, but the highest rate there is 192kHz. I just wondered how 352.8 and 384 would be handled. I’ve heard that FIR filters on those very high rates introduce noise and 192 or even 96kHz has better performance in that regard.
