At the top of my home screen, the latest Android smartphone update puts a thumbnail showing now-playing and the Roon logo.

What version of Android gives that?
Hm… it might be a Samsung thing.
Phone: S-24
One UI version: 7.0
Android version: 15
You generally get it in the media tray when you pull down from the top of the screen on a Pixel phone, and have for the last couple of years.
This does look a bit different though
