Copying Library from 1 Ext.HD to Another. Then what, to prevent gotcha's?

I’m copying my current Roon ROCK NUC library from an External USB 20TB HD, to another External USB, but 24TB HD (approx. 60hrs).

After copying, I want to use the 24TB drive for my library. When the 24TB drive is ready, would the following be the instructions to follow:

• Power down the NUC
• Connect the 24 TB drive
• Boot the ROCK NUC

Because, with the exception of the Root Name of the 24 HD, my previous folder structure was copied intact and as is, should the ROCK NUC either see the library automatically, or re-analyze and match files automatically & all will be well?

I obviously did a Roon Back-Up prior to disconnecting the library on the 20TB HD. It’s available on a USB SSD if needed. But will it be needed? After the library is re-scanned, will there be any way to easily know that the HD exchange went as I hoped?

There is a specific sequence to ensure that Roon will recognize the files as moved and not new:

Thanks Suedkiez, I had seen the link previously.

Given my circumstances, it would appear that before connecting the new HD with the same folders and tracks that were on the old HD per the instructions, I should go to: “Settings > Storage, remove all old storage folders that contain the files that are being relocated.”

From there, I’m assuming I should plug in the new HD, point Roon to the HD and let Roon scan the new HD.

Hopefully, :crossed_fingers: all should be well after that. If not, how would I know and if I do know, should I restore the backup I made before starting this HD move process?
