The Roon Server package no longer works due to necessary foundation updates. Unfortunately the QNAP QTS operating system hasn’t updated some system software in 10 years, making it incompatible. Please switch to the new and officially supported Docker image to run Roon Server on your NAS. See also:
You can use the forum search to find answers to questions that arise when switching to the Docker installation as already some time has passed since the change so most of the questions have already been asked and answered since then.
Else, ask here and fellow members may be able to help you along, otherwise the official support next week.
Edit: Actually, Stephen from the Roon team already offered you help a few weeks ago here:
I am sorry to hear you’re running into issues after the update. As @Suedkiez correctly noted, the native QNAP QPKG installer is no longer compatible with the latest version of Roon due to underlying system framework requirements. To get your Core running again, migrating to the official Roon Docker image is the required path forward.
Since Stephen from our team has already offered to assist you, please feel free to take him up on that if you get stuck with the migration process. To make that process as smooth as possible, we have prepared the knowledge article attached above.
Please let us know if there are any questions after following the guidelines
Our diagnostic servers don’t yet see a docker-hosted version of RoonServer associated with your account. Are you having issues moving to the Container Station setup, or can we be of further assistance here otherwise? We want to make sure the latest release hasn’t left you without a server, and this thread will eventually auto-close without any new responses from the OP.
We still don’t see an active docker-hosted server associated with your account in your diagnostics, and this thread is at risk of auto-closing without any new responses.
Please reach out if we can assist further with migrating to a docker. We’ll watch for your response.
