Why, my core has not updated to version 2.0? only 1.8 bulid 1126. My core runs on windows 10. I have an active internet connection all the time.

one possibility is that, some of us have successfully upgraded to Roon Server/Remote 2.0 to deploy ARC, had the next update forcibly down grade Server to 1.8 Legacy.
Roon may have paused the roll out of the 2.0 update.

Have you seen this post, it might be applicable.
Will there be an automatic upgrade to 2.0 option normally available afterwards?
Does v2.0 differ only in the ARC option from v1.8 Legacy?
The other major difference is that 2.0 only supports newer operating systems + offers a native apple silicon version.
Roon 2.0 also differs in that it needs to be connected to the internet all the time; 1.8 could work offline for a period of up to 30 days.
