Good day @kazim.awan !

Thanks for reporting this!

Can you please clarify for us how your speakers are connected to the machine hosting roon server ?

Also, does this issue happen when you are playing track from TIDAL directly (or any other music player) and not From Roon ?

Looking forward to your reply!

Regards.

Hi Alex,

We are experiencing an issue with audio playback through Roon. The problem persists even when playing local files from Roon alone.

We have also ruled out the speakers and the Steinway processor as the source of the problem, as other audio devices connected to the same system are working correctly.

Is it possible that you can call me and we have a session so that i can show you.

you can call me on [moderator removed content]

@kazim.awan, this is a public support forum, so please avoid posting personal information.

Furthermore, Roon does not offer telephone support. It would be helpful to your case if you answered tge questions in @alex_h’s post. Thabk you.

Hi @kazim.awan,

Thanks for the follow-up! As @mjw has mentioned, we unfortunately aren’t able to offer phone support at this time. You’re in the right spot for help, though!

If you could, please bring your server back online and reproduce the issue - share the specific track name and when you hear the crackling sound. Make sure the volume is low to avoid any damage :slightly_smiling_face:

A few next tests for you as well:

  1. As @alex_h mentioned - skip Roon altogether and play audio through your normal chain via the Tidal app directly. How does it perform?
  2. Navigate back to Roon, but this time, only play audio from the system output of your iPad or Windows 10 Roon Remote - do you experience the same issue?

Let me know your findings, thank you Kazim! :folded_hands:

Hi Alex,

If we play directly from Tidal, its working fine.

to test “play audio from the system output of your iPad” we have to test this.

Hi @kazim.awan !

I hope you’re doing well today.

Thanks for confirming.

You said that when you play from Tidal it is playing okay.

can you please tell us whether you played from tidal from the same machine that’s hosting Roon ?

Also, can you please tell us how your speakers are connected to the Server ? It is important because different connections utilize different protocols and we need to understand what is affected.

And as @benjamin stated, can you please reproduce the issue and provide us with the time and date of when did it happen ? that will allow us to look in the report precisely the log events of what was happening!

Also, we’d appreciate if you could fully describe your sound setup.

Thanks!

Regards.
