Curating music files and adding .PDF's downloaded from The Internet Archive

I’ve been successfully downloading music PDF’s from The Internet Archive and adding to appropriate folders so that they show up and are available to view fro Roon (albeit the link opens a new viewer window).
I believe this is well used by Roon members.
In the last couple of days the download has saved a ‘weird looking’ version of the PDF.
It’s somehow ‘masked / reverse imaged’.
I’ve attached two images which show what it should look like and what I get when downloaded.
Has something changed?

Apologies 2nd image (screenshot) should look like:

Hi Steve,

I’ve just had a go at downloading these images from this URL: Wrong Way Up : Eno : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

There are 6 images. Image 1 was corrupted when I downloaded it, not sure that wasn’t because my NAS is very busy this morning. However, when I clicked on the image it displayed a zoomed view (real size?) and I downloaded that ok.

Hope this helps.
Peter

I have done the same with PDF’s from the internet archive database but hadn’t done any in a while. I just tried on a few random albums I didn’t have the PDF yet and didn’t seem to have a problem. In the past I have noticed an issue with PDF in Roon for some reason if I didn’t alter the file name a bit when exporting. Unclear why that is but… Hope able to resolve on your end as well and maybe a fluke with that particular album.

Thanks for the responses.
I’m on MacOS and I think this started happening after the latest OS update.
I’ve also noticed that opening them with the default app Preview displays them like this (same for an app called PDF Editor).
However if I change it to (say) open in Firefox then the same file displays OK.
I noticed that different PDF’s are ‘encoded’ differently. I’ve seen 2 types of encoding.
All the ones encoded like the problem one are the same (using Preview) but the other encoding type is fine.
Must be something to do with the update but at least I can view everything OK.
CHEERS.
