Is there a way to customize storage locations by user profile?
Example 1…if I only want to access Christmas music by a user called “Holiday” and ignore all other music in my library when logged in using that profile.
Example 2…my wife only likes specific artists and doesn’t want to search through 85k tracks for the few thousand she might actually like to listen to.
No, because Roon doesn’t have real or effective user profiles.
I feel your pain.
You can, somewhat, accomplish what you want by using a combination of Focus and Bookmark, or (of course) Tags.
That’s what I (unfortunately) thought. Time for a feature request.
By all means, but it won’t be the first time.
I suspect that changing the database and code, to make user profiles actually useful, is a big deal.
