Describe the issue

My DAC is no longer shown in Audio Zone after build 1462 update

Describe your network setup

My Roon server (Mac mini) and Cambridge Audio Evo One are on the same subnet with connecting to same router. Before build 1462 update, I can see it in audio zone with RAAT or AirPlay. After build 1462 updated, they are no longer showing in Audio Zone. I tried reboot router but no help. My only work around is to install an older version of Roon server.

Hello @Alan_Lee ,

Have you tried to reboot the Mac Roon Server as well? Do you have multiple networking interfaces active on the Mac? Is there any change in behavior if you leave just one operational?

Yes. I do have reboot the Mac mini or restart Roon service but issue still existed. I have multiple networks active on my Mac mini. I then disabled WiFi network on my Mac (leaving both Mac and DAC are using wired connection only) but no luck.

Hey @Alan_Lee,

Thanks for the follow-up!

I see you’re running the new Sequoia update on Mac, could you please double-check the networking settings:

System Preferences>Security and Privacy>Local Network>ROON> Toggle on

Is the zone set as exclusive mode? What happens if you disable this function?

Hello,

Finally, my issue is solved.

In system preferences, local network permission for Roon already toggled on. I need to toggle off and then toggle on again, and then perform a reboot on my Mac. After reboot, I can see my DAC appears again in Roon’s audio zone.
