Describe the issue

DACs connected to PC are no longer recognized

Describe your network setup

My roon server is connected to a router in the living room, as is my main streamer. My PC in the bedroom has two DAC's connected to it. These used to be recognized by Roon. I can still play music on the main streamer, but Roon doesn't find the DACs connected to the PC anymore. The DACs connected to the PC play fine when playing music from the PC itself.

The problem appears to be caused by the Windows Defender (public network). When switching that off, the DACs connected to the PC reappear. I hope this issue can be resolved, but for now at least I can listen to music via my headphones.

Are you on a public network? If not, and are at home, you should be on a Private Network.

Thanks for your response. I’m at home. The network was indeed set up as “public network” (Windows apparently recommends this). I changed it now. Thanks!
