Is there any such thing as a DAP that could be used as a roon bridge outputting optical and also sending a bit perfect roon signal and associated sample rate without need for 3rd party players like UAPP? It would be controlled by my imac. I only output rbcd and not mqa @support

Something like this? Ethernet in, optical or coax out. Or this? USB in, several different digital audio outputs (but not optical). There are quite a few products in both categories.
By DAP, do you mean a mobile solution?
Multiple versions that run Android can be used as end points, you just need to be able to access the play store. Some of these maybe output digital over USB.
If that isn’t what you were looking, a raspberry pi running Ropiee makes an effective and cost effective endpoint.
