The last 2 mornings (Sunday & Monday), I started Roon on my desktop computer (it is the core as well). The message from the software was that the database was being updated due to a software change. The UI was very laggy and extremely slow to show icons on a new album page or load an album once selected. After a few minutes (yes, minutes) of that spinning, curved blue arrow, the UI returns to its usual snappiness.
The thing is, I’ve had Roon 1.2 (Build 168) installed and working since it was released. So I’m confused as to what’s being updated – is it a connected database like TIDAL or Rovi? Or is it a problem with my installation, and if so, how do I make it stop?
