My date added folder got screwed up. I went in and made sure the Library setting was set to Roon Import Time Stamp, but it did not fix it. I have hundreds of new albums I have been listening to, so it is really important to get this fix as adding them back manually is not tenable.

Can you please clarify if this problem coming from local files or streaming is also affected ?
Do you have any backups that could be restored ?
Do you recall doing anything that could have lead to such a consequence ?

Hi,
I steam Qobuz and Tidal. I do have a NAS, but it has not been connected for several months. The issue is when I filter on “Date Added” it no longer shows the most recently added files. The files are all from more than a year ago. I did restore a back up from Nov 11 and when it started loading up the files, I could see all the more recently added files, but after a minute or so, it replaced them with the older files. Pretty weird. Some setting appears to be overriding the most recently added files with much older files.

Also, I noticed it is just the first 100 or so albums that are out of place. After that, they seem to follow the correct date added sequence.

Are there by any chance duplicates of these files in your watched storage locations? If Roon sees two copies of the same files, it essentially imports the duplicate as a “new” entry. I wonder if this could be causing the behavior you’re describing.
I think you are correct. I deleted most of those 100 duplicate files, just to get them out of the way. It seems to be importing correctly, now. Let’s call it good for now and I will keep an eye out for it. Thanks for your help! Jeff
