Day 28 Music Challenge!

OK Music Fans! Just three days to go, including this one! Reaching into the bag, I pulled a bit of Americana today with Jamestown Revival’s latest album. The first two songs seem somewhat appropriate to a world in various stages of isolation. Have a listen to this and let me know what you think below!

  • Fantastic! (5 stars)

We still need your vote for yesterday’s album here: Day 27

Looking forward to this. A friend of mine is a big fan but not heard any yet myself. Good excuse to give it a go

Well, from the off I thought I was listening to Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott. That’s a compliment; their harmonies are very good. But, overall I found it all a bit one dimensional: lacking emotion and wit.

After listening to this I headed to Crooked Still.

Right up my street this. Really enjoyed it - slightly country, slightly southern rock with a hint of blues and really nice playing. Easy 5 dinks from me.

Why are so many of today’s male harmony groups BORING?

Autotune perhaps? Lack of human quality - lifelessness!
