· I wanted to reduce the size of my library. It had 280k tracks and more than 20k albums. I need to do this because otherwise my experience of Roon is subpar in the app and ARC just doesn’t even work, and anytime I raised issues about these I was basically told by either staff, volunteers or unpaid apologists that this was my fault for having too many tracks. Ok fine, so I painstakingly went through the stuff that I care less about, genre to genre and artist by artist and deleted like 10k albums to reduce the total count to 15k. The problem is these are gradually getting added back. I was aware of this issue as this is something I had tried like two years ago and it didn’t work then, but I thought maybe it has been fixed after two years. Seems like I was too optimistic as basically the exact same issue still exists.
So can someone please offer a solution short of starting afresh and losing all my likes and listening history and whatnot?
It seems quite obvious to me that this issue is because favorites in Qobuz aren’t removed when things get bulk deleted like this, and get added back after a sync. Maybe because Qobuz can’t handle that volume of delete calls at once or something l, but I can think of tens of ways to work around this and I am really frustrated that none has been implemented.
