Describe the issue

Deleted Tidal playlists come back to Roon after some time. Tidal doesn't have these playlists anymore, the playlists were deleted multiple times in Roon, and Roon shows the same playlists again after some time (days?).

Describe your network setup

Asus NUC with ROCK, Mikrotik RB5009, Unifi U6-Lite

Hi @Jozo_Slejko,
I’m sorry you’re still having trouble with your Tidal playlists. The first step here is to try to locate the deletion of the playlists in your logs. Can you try to delete them from Roon again and let us know the date and time of the event? We can then look to see what the trouble is.

In the mean time have you tried forcing a sync Roon and your Tidal account? You can do this under Roon Settings (the gear icon) → Services. On this page click the edit button next to Tidal and then click “Sync library now”.

Hi @daniel , yeah seems like I’m having quite a few issues with my Roon. I’ve got three open cases not sure if that’s normal or not. Lol

I’ve tried force syncing a few times.

I just deleted three playlists a few seconds ago.

Maybe Roon keeps sending them to Tidal and Tidal keeps sending them to Roon. Try disconnecting from Tidal in Roon, then delete in both Tidal and Roon. Finally, reconnect Tidal in Roon. I don’t know if this will work, but worth a try.

I’m watching Tidal side when I delete in Roon. Nothing gets created there, these playlists are long gone over there.
I’ll try to reconnect Tidal.

Hi @Jozo_Slejko,

If you could include some screenshots and specific names of the playlists that re-appear, that would be helpful as well. Thanks!

Hi @Jozo_Slejko,
Thanks for getting that information to us. Two things your can try are clearing your Tidal cache and signing out and back into Tidal in Roon.
Here is how you clear your Tidal cache.

  • Stop Roon Server from running in the Web UI
  • Find and open your RoonServer database
  • Navigate to RoonServer/Cache
  • Move the contents of the /Cache folder elsewhere, like your desktop
  • Try restarting Roon Server via the WebUI and verify if the issue still occurs

Please let us know if you are still having problems after trying these steps.

Hi @daniel , thanks. After completing this, the deleted playlists are no longer showing. Seems like it was a caching issue. I’ll wait for a week to confirm.

Great hopefully this squashes the issue for good.
