I recently installed a Denon X2700H AVR in my living room and have been playing Roon via AirPlay. It sounds pretty good. I really have no interest in installing a Roon endpoint to the AVR but then I saw that I could access the network music share on my Roon Nucleus hard drive in order to get better than CD quality. HEOS HS2 (second generation of HEOS) supports DSD, WAV, FLAC, ALAC up to 192kHz and 24bits. I tried a few hi-rez tracks and they sound really good. The interface is not Roon quality but it gets the job done.
