Denon DRH 800H is not more playing…

Hi there, all the time my Denon worked fine, but a few days ago it is not more possible to play music with ROON from this Amp. It is shown in the settings and the „switch-popup“, But when I select this device to play, the music does not start playing, although the “Play” sign is displayed (i.e. no interference message).

The amp itself is basically fine, it hangs on the PC and plays the music from there quite normally…

What can be going on? Do I need to buy a new amplifier?

If it is playing fine from your PC then you should not need a new amp.

I would look to the connection from your Roon server to the Denon, make sure cables are connected properly and not damaged, try a different cable, try a different connection port or type. Look at the settings for the device in Roon and make sure it is sending a sample rate the Denon can play. Make sure it is not “muted” anywhere in the chain. Make sure the volume is not “zero”.

…all things are well connected, even AirPlay via iPad works fine.
Only to ROON the Denon gives no response….although it is shown in the list of devices!

You’ve checked the Device settings in Roon - but what about the Denon? Is it set to receive the PCM stream coming from Roon?

…good old reset made it play again…:blush:
