USB Dragonfly Black v1.5 attached to Roon Remote.

Description Of Issue

Roon’s volume control behaves strangely for my Dragonfly DAC when it’s connected to a Roon Remote: When the volume control is set to “Device Volume”, it doesn’t actually change the device volume but instead seems to do DSP volume control. I suspect this because a) the maximum volume is different depending on the volume the DAC was set to before it’s taken control of by Roon and b) when I change volume in Roon, the “Master” volume of the device does not change in the Audio MIDI Setup application.

Also, another, independent bug report: the Dragonfly’s “View Product Manual” link (https://www.audioquest.com/content/aq/pdf/DragonFly-Black-FlightManual-EN.pdf) in the signal path view leads to a 404. The correct link is https://www.audioquest.com/resource/1100/DragonFly-Black-FlightManual-EN.pdf

@support Any chance in reproducing this issue?

Hi @naepflin,

Apologies for the delay here due to the holiday weekend. Our team is working to reproduce this behavior in-house and we’ll follow up with you soon!

Hello @naepflin,

Are you using “Exclusive Mode” for the DragonFly zone? “Device Volume” will only change the hardware volume when “Exclusive Mode” is enabled.
